Martin Signal - corneta de señalización ferroviaria con 4 tonos
This 4-tone signal horn was formerly used on the Dutch railways to warn of danger. It has a nozzle and a valve similar to a trumpet, allowing for a variety of tones from the 4 horns. The sound is very loud so it could be clearly heard.
The horn is made of brass with a chrome layer. The original strap is still attached. The horn belonged to a railway employee who was given it as a parting gift.
The condition is good, with a few dents from use.
The length of the horn is 42 cm.
Original two tone signal horn made by Martin Signal. The first stone for the German signal instrument factory Max B. Martin GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1880 in Markneukirchen/Saxony. The factory manufactured all signal horns, horns, trumpets for brass bands and cavalry, for two or four notes signals. The horn is made of brass. This version is chrome.
