Gorgeous vintage authentic Charles Jean-Baptiste Collin-Mezin violin.
One of The Greatest French Master Luthiers, known for his excellent work
Sold with its certificate of value by Bernard Sabatier, expert luthier in Paris.
Size 4/4 instrument (whole violin)
Made as a Maggini model with double bands around edges and a gorgeous scroll.
Signature on the back of the inside.
Signed label.
“Selection” No. 64 violin for the year 1955.
Back in two pieces of finely flamed maple.
Flamed sides and head
Carved “f”.
Original varnished.
Golden pegs.
Collin-Mézin bridge.
Back length: 358 mm
In good condition
In excellent condition to be played, needs a new set of strings (comes with the old strings).
Shipped with its vintage wooden case and comes with its value certificate.
