Dining table Fureka in Norwegian pine from 1967
Edvin Helseth (1925), born in Mjos (Hamar), Norway, was a prominent Norwegian designer. Edvin studied at the State Crafts and Art Industry School in Oslo.
His furniture design is original and pure Norwegian. Pine with beautiful structure and grain, made with only wooden joints. Modular, well-considered in sleek design proportions.
The project Trybo (dining table and chairs) is from the Trysil sawmill and gained worldwide recognition.
The 1967 Design award was awarded to this design, endorsed by professor Gilles of the Academy for industrial design in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
This design can be found in the national museum of Oslo as an example of minimalist, sustainable and rational design.
The dining table and 4 chairs are original and in a beautiful vintage condition.
The design and execution are known as an important exponent of simple Scandinavian lifestyle; pure and characteristic.
