In a good vintage condition, seven silver plated candlesticks from the 60s, genuine Scandinavian Design utensils, from designer silversmith Hans Bunde for the Danish manufacturer Carl M. Cohr A / S - ATLA. Unfortunately one has some scratches on the top, please see the photos. The last photo shows an old photo from the 1930s with a Carl M. Cohr A / S billboard on the roof of Hotel Vasegården in Jernbanegade, Fredericia Denmark, which no longer exists either. Dimensions: Height 2 cm x Diameter 5 cm. Background information: The silverware factory owned by Carl M. Cohr A / S was a Danish silverware factory, Danmarksgade 9 in Fredericia, Denmark. Ditlev Madsen Cohr (1829-1882) started as a goldsmith in Fredericia on April 25, 1860. In 1887 his son, Carl M. Cohr (1862-1925), took over the company. He gradually expanded the workshop with machines, made corpus from 1892 and thus laid the foundation for the art-industrial company, which in 1906 changed into a public limited company with Carl M. Cohr as managing director and main shareholder and manufacturer Ditlev von Voss as chairman of the board of directors. Cohr connected several well-known designers to the factory, Knud V. Engelhardt, HP Jacobsen, who were hired in 1926 and held artistic leadership for 40 years. The silversmith Hans Bunde made the production of Cohr crucial in the 1950s. In 1950, around 350 people were working at the company. Until 1922, the company's products (cutlery, plates, bowls, jugs, candle holders, etc.) were made only in real silver, and later the production of silver-plated products was called ATLA. Source: Wikipedia. Condition in accordance with age and use. Scratches, stains and patina, but can certainly still be polished to a shine. Carefully study all photos for a good impression of this lot. Will be well packaged and sent registered with PostNL parcel service, within the Netherlands and abroad.
