Louis Paul Boon - Fenomenale Feminatheek - 2004
Louis Paul Boon started collecting cut-outs of naked women in the late 1950s. Boon, seismograph of an ever progressing world, wanted to inventory and describe the woman's body in all its shapes. The collection grew into the Fenomenale Feminateek, a gigantic undertaking with which Boon examined modern morality in his idiosyncratic way. At the death of the writer in 1979 two important parts were almost finished: the Fenomenale Feminateek and European queens with crowns of cardboard. They are now being released for the first time in book form.
This particular project is provided by Prof. Em. Stevekleut, no stranger to the work of Louis Paul Boon. Already in 1972 he is working on Boons Mieke Maaike's obscene youth, also a trade edition of Steivekleut's dissertation 'about and in the kutodelic phenomenon with upcoming child females. Over the past few decades, Steivekleut has built up an international reputation as a pornographer.
The exuberantly illustrated book is packed in a concealing cedar box. After all, reading is forbidden under the age of 16.
