Antoon van Domburg (1882-1954) - Bloemstilleven
Antoon (Cornelis Antonius Adrianus) Van Domburg was born on 14 June 1882 in Schijndel, the son of Judocus van Domburg (house painter) and Kristian Voets. He attended the royal School for arts and crafts and fine arts in 's-Hertogenbosch. Three times, he acquired the great royal medal for 'Tekenen naar het leven'.
He got a scholarship from the city of 's-Hertogenbosch to continue his studies in Haarlem. There he made copies in the Frans Halsmuseum of the paintings by this famous 17th century artist.
In good condition. However, there is a small gap, small piece of paint that is coming off, visible on the rose (see pictures).
Frame: wooden frame.
Signed on the top right.
