His is a family of artists: his uncle, Goffredo, a famous sculptor and medallist, was a teacher in the Academy; his brother Mario is an architect and painter and the brothers Franco and Giancarlo are poets. After various artistic experiences, Sergio Verginelli has come to sculpture, starting with a classicism, which he later abandoned, arriving at his own style that enhances formal lyricism through his own personal research. In his creations he gives body to the images, developing them and making them into a harmonious composition that gives them a strong sense of freedom. He is an artist of great sensitivity and plastic quality, and his sculptures are always full of surprising inventiveness.
