Amethyst is the most precious stone of the quartz family.
Amethyst quartz is a magnetic and charming stone.
There are various stories about this purple stone. One of these is the legend that tells that Bacchus, God of wine, was in love with a nymph of the woods named Amethyst. The girl, however, did not like this courtship by Bacchus and turned to Diana who transformed her into a crystal. Bacchus, aware of the thing, got angry a lot and shed his expensive wine on the crystal, giving it the purple colour and the power to not get drunk whoever wore this gem. The term Amethyst means ‘not drunk’.
