Germany- DLV/NSFK Fliegermesser, with hanger nice original dagger, maker’s mark: F & a. Helbig, Steinbach, blue leather hilt and scabbard, aluminium mouth, in good condition. On the photos the blade appears a bit dark, in reality it is a shining metal. DLV stands for Deutscher Luftsport Verband This organisation was in fact the Luftwaffe. DLV was in 1937 changed in NSFK (Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps) This dagger is the later version, I the "Abnahme" mark is on top of the scabbard mouthpiece.. The metal parts are made of aluminium. Another difference compared to early versions that this dagger has an engraved swastika on the crossguard.
