Lowenkopf-Sable fur Offiziere mit fein ziseliertem Gefass. Model 1935. Beautiful sabre for Heeres Officers, model 1935 with red glass eyes. The gilded handle has a lion's head, which features red glass eyes. The handle bears a Hoheitsadler (swastika hidden). The black plastic handle has the full wire winding and is undamaged. The blade has the imprinted logo of Tiger, capped by the crossguard on the back (small picture of a Tiger), see picture. Swords by manufacturer Tiger from Solingen are rare and very wanted! On the pictures where there is no portepee on the sabre, is clear to see the colour difference of the patina which in recent times formed on the uncovered metal. Where the portepee is present the gilding still has its old colour. Such colour differences are very much appreciated by collectors, among othe thing to establish the authenticity of the sabre. The blade shows very light signs of use and only small oxidation spots. Steel sheath is repainted but otherwise in good condition. Suspension ring is undamaged. The portepee is in very poor condition, has some repair spots, but it is original. The sabre will be carefully packed and sent by insured mail with track and trace. Sales only to people of 18 years and older.
