1966 ROLLEI '16S' 16mm Sub-miniature Camera. Manufactured in Germany from 1966, the camera is a reflection of that moment in time. The advent of colour film and prints made the cost of film, processing and prints very high. To combat this cameras were introduced which used smaller film, took more exposures with hence a reduction in costs. The camera comes in good condition with mild signs of use and age. The shutter works and the classic Zeiss Jennar f3.5 75mm lens appears clear. The viewfinder, which slides out of the body for use, has a unique little gadget which automatically adjusts parralax when focusing. The camera measures only 11cm x 4.5cm x 3cm and weighs just 279 grams. It used 16mm cine film giving 12mm x 17mm exposures. A great little collectable from a 'moment-in-time' fifty years ago!
