Here we have a nice Archtop made in Korea for Richwood. It has been professionaly setup with d’addario Chromes and the action is set low. Fretwork polished. Fretboard oiled, tuned and intonated. The electronics are cleaned, pickups had a setup and the tuners are tigthened. -korean handmade 2004 -full luthier setup -d’addario chromes -ritter gigbag worth 90 euro’s -vintage and worn leather strap This is a great playing instrument. The nice shaped neck, with beautifull figured maple!, plays easy and really gives you that nice L-5 smile on your face. The action is set low and when played with your thumb, it gives you that Wes Montgommery kind of tone we all like so much. The neck pickup is pretty clear but warm. It gives that open sound that cuts through the mix, is full, and has that little acoustic notion in it. I wonder if people could here the difference between this and an older L-5. The bridge pickup is pretty loud and gives you a more scotty more feel. The middle position is great for acoustic type of strumming. I setup the guitar and after i plugged it in a 1962 Fender Amplifier i just couldnt let it go. I played it for at least two hours and was amazed by the quality. It cones from the same factory as the better Guitars Epiphone sold over the last 20 years and i think i like this one better. After some days i picked it up again and plugged it into the Jazzamp we have for sale in an other auction. That sounds like Wes straight away. I had to think it over to sell this two pieces, because for the valua you wont find anything nicer. If i wouldnt have some older archtops and amps this would be my main rig. This guitar has been played, but is in fine shape. Frets are good, looks are great- starts to look a little bit vintage. It has a minor jackrepair(as always). It comes with an older Leather and heavilly ised West End Musis strap and a very nice and expensive Ritter Gigbag( 90 euro’s new at Thomann) in new condition. It is hard to find a great jazzbox/archtop for a decent price. Korean instruments start to be fairly expensive and it is quit hard to find a good specimen with that full hollow tone and dynamics at the same time. Happy bidding on this great item.
