Leo de Winter was a visual artist. He made a.o. etchings, wood engravings, drawings, paintings and he worked with acrylic, pastel and watercolour.
His subjects are still lifes, portraits, landscapes and city scapes. He was self-taught and worked as a painter in the style of the Hague School. He was taught by Henri F.Boot.
He was a founding member of art circle de Acht, Member (board member and later honorary member) of K.Z.O.D. (Kunst Zij Ons Doel), B.B.K. 1969.
