Some background information on this steam carriage:
In 1905 the serial-delivery started of the steam carriage type 'Kittel'. They were named after Eugen Kittel, the then Chief Engineer of the ‘Maschinefabrik Esslingen’. The vehicle had 40 seats and 4 standing places. The maximum speed was 60 km/h. The last ones were taken out of service at the DB in 1958.
