He then worked at Jacques Viénot and at the studio of Jean Parthenay, which he later took over. In 1957 Tallon taught at the School of Arts and Crafts in Paris. The product designer created hundreds of items for Peugeot, Kodak, Air France, General Motors and SNCF among others. His designs for the watchmaker LIP are classics today. LIP calibre R148 R27, which was taken out in 1958, now earns great respect again and brings great publicity to LIP. However, the models equipped with this calibre remain high scale, which are less accessible and so are, in contrast to the trade policy of LIP: popular quality watches. So you have to find a representative in this calibre that is more economical. You also have to understand a calibre that works with a single stack to reduce the size of the casing. The final impulse in the development of R148 really is the competition, except Atlantic. Actually calibrated in 1960 present Bulova 214 Accutron. This revolutionary calibre does not use a pendulum spiral more like a directing organ but rather a vibrating diapason in a frequency of 360 hertz (the frequency of the pendulum of R27 is only 5 Hz !!!) which gives the watch an accuracy that is never reached today for one watch strap of the series.
