Rare what appears to be an 1880's Jacques Staunton chess set with the beautiful hand carved Lasker-type knights. (Based on “Jaques Staunton Chess Sets: a Collectors guide” http://www.fersht.com/chess/ - see “later knights”). Jacques London stamped in both Kings and the crown stamped on top of the white rook. The signs and patina of the age is awesome and make this an amazing set. Only selling this because I can’t display my chess sets… and a set like this deserves to be displayed and treasured!
