1) Hans Andersen / W. T. Stead - The Snow Queen. A story for Christmas. A new translation - Londen, Steads Publishing House / Review of Reviews, n.d. [c. 1915] - 58 pp. - Softcover, publisher’s cover, stapled, 12 × 18 cm - Illustrations (on each page): Brinsley Le Fanu - Series: Books for Bairns #58. Condition: Very good. Cheap material (price one penny), nevertheless almost entirely intact. Publisher William Thomas Stead (1849-1912) was also a journalist, and, above all, a controversial figure. He died on the Titanic in 1912. George Brinsley Le Fanu (1854-1929), known illustrator of i.a. early Alice in Wonderland editions. 2) Christine Doorman - Sprookjes van Moeder de Gans - Utrecht, W. de Haan, [c. 1917] - Second edition, 48, 48, 48, 47 pp. - Hardcover, decorated cloth, mounted illustration, 18 × 23 cm. 8 colour illustrations and 10 in black-and-white by Rie Cramer. Condition: very good. Wear on the usual places, somewhat soiled, but good copy. Illustrations in good condition. 3) Henriëtte Blaauw - ALADDIN met de Wonderlamp en andere verhalen - Alkmaar, Kluitman, n.d. [1918 according to KB] - [First edition], 79 pp. - Hardcover, decorated paper, 12 × 16 cm - Illustrations: Frans van Noorden. Series: 1001 nacht, first volume Condition: very good. Light wear, completely intact. Paper tanned. Paper spine solid 4) E Kuipers-van der Koogh - Moeder vertelt hoe kaboutertje Eigenwijs op reis gaat - Amsterdam, Meulenhoff, n.d. [c. 1920] - 2nd edition, 105 pp. - Plain hardcover, cloth spine, decorated paper, 15 × 20 cm - Illustrations: Jan Wiegman. Series: zonne-bibliotheek. Rare, no other copy found for sale. Condition: very good. Some wear and aging. Good high-quality paper. 5) Nienke van Hichtum - Sprookjes uit verre landen - [Amsterdam], Maatschappij voor goede en goedkoope lectuur, 1926 - [First edition], 131 pp. - Hardcover, gilt-lettered cloth with mounted illustration, 20 × 27 cm. Colour and black-and-white illustrations of Pol Dom. Condition: very good. Binding with signs of use and light wear. The spine is neatly restored. Remnants of tape of previous restoration. Interior is in excellent condition, the binding threads are perfect, the paper is crisp, not soiled, not tanned, no foxing. Some small tears. 6) [anonymous] - Ali Baba en de Veertig Roovers - Zeist, Swartsenburg, n.d. [c. 1930?, old spelling in title] - 56 pp. - Hardcover, decorated paper, 14 × 20 cm - Illustrations: Augustinus Gerardus van der Linde (signed in the illustrations) - Serie 1001 nacht, mooiste sprookjes. Rare! Not found for sale anywhere else; not in WorldCat. Condition: very good. Minor wear to the binding. Paper spine intact, except for minor damage to head and tail. Interior fine, apart from some tanning. Binding is somewhat loose. 7) [anonymous] - Sprookjes van Grimm - Averbode / Goede Pers, n.d. [c. 1943] - [First edition], 110 pp. - Hardcover, cloth spine, decorated paper, 12 ×17 cm - Illustrated. Condition: very good. Cheap material, war edition. Spine renewed. Interior with slight wear. Grey paper, binding good. 8) Anton Eijkens - De Sprookjeshoorn - Antwerpen, Vlaamsche boekcentrale / Tilburg, Nederland's Boekhuis, 1946 - [First edition], 91 pp. - Hardcover, gilt-lettered grey cloth spine, decorated paper boards, 12 × 16 cm - Illustrations: Woodcuts by R. Snapper. Condition: Fine. Hardly any wear, interior near mint apart from some tanning. 9) Koert Zwerver - Sprookjes-leesboek voor het 4e leerjaar - Zutphen, Thieme, n.d. [c. 1950] - 9th edition, 134 pp. - Plain hardcover, cloth spine, paper boards, 13 × 19 cm - Illustrated by J.G. Kessler. Condition: good. Significant signs of use and wear, but entirely intact, not read to pieces and not soiled. 10) A. D. Hildebrand - De gelukkige Hans - Joppe, Littera Scripta Manet, 1955 - 45 pp. - Hardcover, decorated paper, 12 × 15 cm - Illustrations: J.F. van den Broeke. Series: Kleintjes voor kleintjes. Condition: Very good. Slight wear everywhere. The paper spine is still intact, but a little fragile. Interior is good. 11) Idem - Aladdin en de Wonderlamp - Idem - Idem - Idem - Illustrations: Wim van Nieuwenhoven - Idem. Condition: Idem, plus a few scuffs on the front cover.
