Description of the Central as shown on the Märklin website: The Central Station combines the widely used protocols Motorola, MFX and DCC with a large colour touchscreen with 2 controller desks for easy and comfortable controlling of the locomotives. The locomotives can be displayed with colour icons. Furthermore, the Central Station has an integrated Märklin Digital - locomotive data bank and two built-in locomotive card readers (for storing locomotive data on a locomotive card and for quickly calling up the locomotive by inserting the locomotive card). MFX-locomotives are automatically recognized and included on the locomotives list with all their properties. In addition, a powerful integrated booster for the running/switching power of the model track, 20 (DCC: 128) keyboards for the control of up to 320 (DCC: 2048) magnetic accessories, a signal control board and an integrated roadway control system (incl. commuter train system).
