A gorgeous design from this historic 280 year old firm, the second oldest watch brand in Switzerland. Magnificent in its classic simplicity, this ultra-rare manual wind slim line mid 70’s Favre – Leuba wristwatch, radiates good taste. Gold plated with white dial. Diameter measures 33mm’s (without crown), while total thickness (including glass cover) is 7mm’s. Used, but nevertheless in quite a presentable state. There is some evidence of slight marks in the glass and the white dial is in good condition with the exception of a minor discoloration just above left the 12 o’ clock position. There is some slight pitting of the gold plating in the bottom right lug. Overall, these are very minor flaws for a 40 year old watch and one must look very closely to discover them –the watch has been well looked after. Buckle is not the original one and of course neither is the 18 mm strap (in black), which is of good quality, but used, not terminally though and is nonetheless still useable. It measures 11.1 cm’s in the lower strap side and 7.3 cm’s in the upper strap side (without buckle). Weight of watch, complete with strap and buckle is 28.2 grs, whilst weight of watch alone is 20.6 grs. Mechanically, the watch is in perfect working order.
