On offer are a beautiful Aurora 98 ballpoint and fountain pen with a gold-plated body in the milleraies guillochè finish. It sports an original 14kt gold nib graded Medium. Aurora started the design of its new flagship pen, the 98, in 1962, and the new pen was officially launched in 1963. It was an elegant pen, thin and slender like the Parker 61, and the first generation was a piston-filler pen. The 98 retained the general look of the 88, with a more streamlined and modern appearance due to its thinner barrel and slightly more angular curves. Pressed by the popularity of the ballpoint pen, Aurora modified the 98 in the late 1960s, simplifying its design and abandoning the piston filling system as the 98 was made into a cartridge fill pen (2nd Generation).
